Darktone is a self-hosted music player. Your music, your data, your control. We take your privacy seriously.

Data Collection

Darktone does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or any third party. Specifically:

Your Music Server

Darktone connects directly to your personal Navidrome (Subsonic-compatible) music server. Your server URL and login credentials are stored locally on your device using the iOS Keychain (encrypted). They are never transmitted anywhere except to your own server.

Local Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device:

All local data can be deleted by removing the app from your device.

Network Requests

Darktone only communicates with the music server you configure. No other network requests are made except for loading artist biographies and images from last.fm (through your Navidrome server's API).

Children's Privacy

Darktone does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
